TART Connect – Truckee – TART

Face Coverings are now optional on all TART and TART Connect Services. CDC encourages continued use of face coverings while utilizing public transit.


TART Summer Services begin on June 30th. There will be a slight change to the Hwy 267 route timetable effective the start of the summer schedule on June 30th. See summer schedule here.


TART Busses will be pulling out of regular service on July 3rd from 7:00 pm-11:00 pm and July 4th from 8:00 pm-11:00 pm to accommodate the release of the Drone shows.  Questions?  Call (530) 550-1212.

This Summer, TART Connect will provide service in Truckee

It’s simple – just tap, relax and go!

TART Connect Will Serve Truckee from June 25th to September 5th, 2022.

TART Connect offers a FREE and easy way to leave the car behind. TART connect offers curb-to-curb service and connections to TART’s bus service. Reserve your trip via the app or phone and you will be picked up in as little as 15 minutes.

When does Truckee TART Connect Operate?

Truckee TART Connect service will operate from June 25 to September 5, 2022, 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.  To use TART Connect, download the TART Connect app. No app? Just call 530-214-5811.

Where does Truckee TART Connect Operate?

TART Connect users can download the TART Connect app and enjoy service in Tahoe Donner, the Downtown commercial core, Glenshire, and the Tahoe Forest Hospital District zones. All rides are FREE to the rider, making the service convenient and accessible to everyone!

How will TART Connect Work?

Download the APP, choose a destination in the Truckee TART Connect Service Zone.

Traveling outside of your zone?

This exciting new service will allow riders to easily move from outlying areas of Truckee into the Downtown area. Riders can even make connections from the Truckee Train Depot and Truckee/Tahoe Airport to North Lake Tahoe by TART bus. Once in North Lake Tahoe, riders can request rides within the North Shore’s TART Connect service zones.

Additional Information:

-Service animals are allowed on TART Connect. All other pets are not allowed.

-Truckee TART Connect vehicles seat 6-9 passengers.

-Two of the vehicles will have wheelchair accessibility.

-Vehicles will be equipped with bicycle racks. 

-The Truckee TART Connect Pilot Program is made possible through funding provided by: The Town of Truckee,  Visit Truckee Tahoe, Tahoe Forest Hospital District, Truckee Special Service Area #1 (Tahoe Donner) and #5 (Glenshire) funds, which are funds generated from special assessments on residential properties.
